My parents, Henry Roland Mohrschladt and Fredericka Anna Reid were a professional dance team who, when they settled in Burbank, opened Roland and Reid Dance Studio in 1954, thus setting the trajectory for many students to become professional ballerinas, tap dancers, actors who dance, stage managers, producers, and choreographers, to name a few. Then, in 1972, my mother and I moved to South Orange County and opened Saddleback Dance Center, continuing the legacy of helping dancers to find their niche in dance.
